Luna agate cab ~
Offered here is a designer cabochon of collectibly rare luna agate, from Mexico. This old favorite material is no longer easy to find like it was years ago, and this cab is a remarkable example. It's not loaded with orbs, but I'm sure you'll agree it does make the most of those it has, showing a lot of detail and and interesting contrast. I've heard the lovely purple color of luna agate is at least partially due to the presence of fluorite, and indeed, one corner of the stone is a very transparent lavender gel. The cab has a very high rounded dome of 7mm, a symmetrical 'pillow' shape, and a smooth glassy polish both front and back.
