Marra mamba cab ~
Offered here is a gorgeous cabochon of Australia's rare Marra Mamba tigereye, the finest tigereye ever found. This splendid example features mostly blues, with a notable patch of greenish gold, and streaks of red that blend into purples. There's some black jasper at the small end, with ochre jasper at the wide end, and of course there are splashes of shiny metallic hematite, adding much character to the stone's artful composition. It has a well rounded dome of 6mm, and it's nicely polished on the front side. And even though it's tough to find, I do need to mention a tiny streak or two that undercut a bit. The back side has a slightly more matte finish, but it is smooth and ready to take part in your finest creation. It's a steal at less than $3 per carat!
