Bulico jasper cab ~
Here's one you may not have seen too often... It's cut from a relatively new material called Bulico jasper, which hails from Durango, Mexico. A hard porcelain-like material, I've also heard it called Durango jasper, but whatever you call it, it's certainly a worthy stone. This cab is an excellent example, featuring creamy colors with a purplish blush, and spidery maroon dendrites. I liked it well enough to acquire many pounds of excellent rough, and it's been a big success in my own jewelry. If you appreciate this jasper's unusual looks too, add one to your jasper collection, or try it in your jewelry creations and see how it goes! This substantial cab has a very high rounded dome of nearly 8mm, a gracefully fluid shape, and a great glassy polish both front and back.
