Blue lace agate cab ~
Offered here is a lovely cabochon of blue lace agate, from Africa. This classic old favorite material is getting pretty scarce and spendy lately, especially in the finest quality that everyone wants. This cab has an attractive lacy pattern in bluish-lavender tones, alternating with lighter bands of translucent and clear agate. It also includes a teensy druzy pocket. One thing I've noticed that all blue agates seem to share in common, is their tendency toward what I term 'moodiness'. The dimmer the light, the deeper the color, but always gorgeous! Whatever you choose to dream up for this beauty, no doubt it'll be marvelous. The stone has a very high rounded dome of nearly 7mm, a graceful designer 'S' shape, and a brilliantly glassy polish both front and back.
