Turquoise ~
Offered here is a cabochon of Colorado turquoise. It features gorgeous turquoise-blue coloration, some of which shades into greenish hues where it's mixed with the orangish-brown matrix. No doubt the material has been stabilized by a hardening process, as is most modern turquoise, but I don't believe it has been subjected to artificial coloring of any kind. It cut like a dream, and will wear wonderfully, without turning green over the years. The cab has a low but well rounded dome, a designer 'pillow' shape, and a slick glossy polish both front and back.
