Stinking Water plume agate cab ~
Offered here is a cabochon of white plume agate, from Stinking Water Pass, Oregon. This old stock material is anything but run-of-the-mill, and getting harder to come by all the time, particularly in this above average calibre. It features a lovely pattern of ornate plumes in snowy white, adrift in a background of translucent agate. The pictures don't reveal it well, but the translucent areas have a distinct opalescent quality, showing a bluish glow. The stone has a nicely rounded dome, a gracefully fluid designer shape, and a glassy polish both front and back.
