Rhyolite cab ~
Offered here is a large deluxe cabochon of gorgeous orbicular rhyolite, from Nevada. This material goes by several names, including birdseye rhyolite, but no matter what you prefer to call it, I really like the stuff! This example has oodles of neat orbs and bullseyes in a variety of sizes, and its unusual crackly blue with cream coloration and arrangement will make a most desireable item of jewelry. I do need to mention the presence of a wee natural vug, though it's nothing to diminish the cab's beauty and value. The stone has a well rounded dome of nearly 6mm, a bold designer shape, polished to a high gloss both front and back.
