Priday moss agate cab ~
Offered here is an enchanting cabochon of Priday moss agate, from the old Priday Ranch digs in Oregon. It was cut from the small end of a prized nodule, tucked away for decades in the cherished collection of an old lapidary. It is truly a unique stone, with an ornate pattern of mossy strings and streamers, including one water level line (NOT a fracture!). Backlit, any darkness of the agate base nearly disappears and shows itself to be suprisingly translucent. Please click to enlarge all the photos for a visual treat. The cab has a high rounded dome, a graceful shape that should be a joy to set, and it's polished both front and back.
