Blue quartz cab ~
Offered here is a cabochon of Chinese blue quartz. I saw this intriguing material a few years ago at the Quartzite shows, and knew we had to drag some home to my lapidary studio. The rough is certainly a pleasure to work with, much easier and finer than I imagined it would be. And I love the gorgeous sky blue coloration, which is 100% natural, not the result of any treatments or dyes. It's rather like some larimar, wouldn't you agree? This cab has a nicely rounded dome of 6mm, a graceful designer shape, and a smooth glassy polish both front and back.
