Crown of Silver Psilomelane cab ~
Offered here is a neat cabochon of Crown Of Silver psilomelane, from Chihuahua, Mexico. This classic old wide-band material is sometimes referred to as 'black malachite', though there's no real relation. It features a well defined pattern of bands and a strong bullseye in shiny 'smoked chrome', alternating with sub-metallic black. The beautiful moire pattern is the perfect companion to mokume gane metal work. The stone has a high rounded dome of 6mm, a designer shape, and a super reflective glassy polish both front and back.
