Marra mamba cab ~
Offered here is an intriguing cabochon of rare Marra Mamba tigereye, from Australia. This very rare material is delightfully colorful, with plenty of chatoyant flash, even in these flat digital photos. This gorgeous example is a genuine treasure, with gold and blue dominated colors found only in the top quality Marra Mamba tigereye. There are ribbons of dark silvery hematite, with bright orange, red and yellow jasper, and translucent quartz adding to its appealing character. The stone has a well rounded dome of 5+mm, and an excellent glassy polish both front and back. I do need to mention that the backside has two smallish pits, but they don't detract from this stone atall. It's a steal at well under $4 per carat!
