Morenci chrysocolla cab ~
Offered here is a cabochon of chrysocolla in quartz, from Morenci, Arizona. This fabulous old material is seldom seen these days, and more sought after than ever. Easy to see why, with vivid light and dark blues to blue-greens, as well as a scattering of reddish cuprite threads in a background of snowy quartz. In some areas, the delicious sky blue has bled into the translucent quartz, giving this one a most appealingly gemmy character. The stone has a high rounded dome, a designer 'paisley' shape, and a fine glassy polish front and back.
