Polish flint ~
Offered here is a cabochon of banded flint, which hails from Poland. To call it banded is surely an understatement; this stuff is WOW! And this is actually one of the milder patterns, believe it or not. Some of the bands show a nice, unexpected translucence, and how 'bout those neat scallops? They look like feathery wingtips! Try a cab, you'll like it. This one has a well rounded dome, a symmetrical teardrop shape, and a fine glassy polish both front and back.
