Coyamito agate cab ~
Offered here is an intriguing cabochon of Coyamito agate, from Chihuahua Mexico. Mined less than 40 miles from the world famous Laguna agate, this too is prized by collectors the world over. This stone was cut from the heart of a smallish old stock nodule, and as you can see, it has some beautifully colored fortification banding. I particularly like the translucent orange agate that frames the banded core, which is opaque. The stone has a high rounded dome, and a brilliant polish both front and back.
