Here is an extra fancy cabochon of premium old stock pietersite, from Africa. This stone features vivid gold, green, midnight blue and burnt red chatoyancy in an intriguing swirled pattern that shifts and changes as the stone is turned; just as one winks off, another lights up, though that quality is mighty tough to illustrate in one dimensional photos. The stone has a high and well rounded dome of 6+mm, and a fine glassy polish both front and back. And my per carat price for a stone of this quality is a steal!
