Turquoise ~
Offered here is a cabochon of Chinese turquoise. This stone features very attractive sky blue coloration, with the added character of some dark patterning. No doubt the material has been stabilized by a hardening process, as is most modern turquoise, but I don't believe it has been subjected to artificial coloring of any kind. It cut like a dream, and will wear wonderfully, without turning green over the years. The cab has a generously high rounded dome of 8.56mm, a crisp designer shape, and a great glossy polish. The stone is backed with a thin layer of Devcon, unpolished.
