Biggs Jasper cab ~
Offered here is a sweet lil' cab of Biggs jasper, from Oregon. A long time favorite in the celebrated family of porcelain jaspers, this classic material has become quite collectibly rare these days. This fine example has a lot going for it, with swirls of rich browns and creamy tans, as well as a nice scattering of jet black dendrites that resemble tiny trees. There's even a hint of the sought after lavender tones. Viewed with a bit of imagination, the pattern is oddly scenic, in a way, like some exotic land from a fairy tale. heh No gravity there, obviously. It has a low well rounded dome of just over 3mm, which is a bit thinner than I prefer, but it works just fine for the proportions of this stone. It has a slick glassy polish both front and back.
