Jenny Creek agate cab ~
Offered here is a unique cabochon of Jenny Creek dendritic agate, cut from the heart of a nodule collected many years ago. I'm fairly sure this collectibly rare agate is also known by the name of Copco agate, found in southern Oregon near the California border; sadly, no more collecting is permitted. This splendid example features an outstanding show of dark dendrites in translucent milky agate, similar to Montana moss agate. While shaping this stone, the pattern appeared to me to resemble a long necked bird-like dinosaur hatchling just bursting from its egg, but Rain claims she sees a weird flower waving on its leafy stalk... go figure! Whatever you see (or don't see), this one's a beauty by anyone's lights! It has a low but nicely rounded dome of 5mm, a sleek designer trapezoid shape, and a fine glassy polish both front and back.
Size: 51x16mm
