Rhodochrosite cab ~
Here is a collectible cabochon of top notch rhodochrosite, from Argentina, cut from a cross-section of rare stalactite. Not easy to come by like it once was, last I heard, the price of material from the classic Inca Rose location is strictly controlled by the Argentinian goverment. -grr- This gemmy gel-like cab features vibrant pink coloration that's simply glowing. Delicious! It has faint crystalline veils, four pretty bullseyes (six on the backside), and a delightful degree of warm translucence. The stone is small but mighty, with a nicely rounded dome of 5.5mm, and a great glossy polish both front and back.
