Dinosaur Bone cab ~
Offered here is a fine cabochon of fossilized dinosaur bone, from Utah. This colorfully silicated material is many millions of years old, a marvelous example of the natural preservation of our earth's ancient, extinct 'thunder lizards'. Over millennia, the cells in this fossil bone have been completely replaced with yellow agate, with a few reddish orange cells. Each is framed by the actual cell walls, which are a contrasting jet black, forever frozen in time. The cab has a very high and well rounded dome of nearly 7+mm, and an excellent glassy polish both front and back.
