Petrified wood cab ~
Offered here is a splendid cabochon of colorful petrified wood, from Arizona. This fossilmaterial is a joy to work, with next to none of the typical fractures pet wood so often has. I was told this agate and jasper mix is of the Auricaria species, though there's little left of the once-living wood's ring pattern. It's a veritable feast of rich hues, and some areas do show a nice translucence. It'll look grand in most any setting, or as a centerpiece in your collection. The cab has a high rounded dome of 6mm, a crisp but graceful shape, and a mirror polish both front and back.
