Bloodstone cab ~
Offered here is a designer cabochon of bloodstone, from India. This grand old material certainly cuts a marvelous stone! It features the classic pattern of blood red spots against a background of deep, rich greens. There is an odd razor-thin slash of dark jasper, but I can see no fractures or other flaws. My personal preferences for bloodstones like this is a silver setting, but please feel free to follow your own capable imagination. -smile- The cab has a well rounded dome of 6+mm, a gracefully curved crescent shape, and a super glassy polish both front and back.
