Offered here is a truly splendid cabochon of top notch African pietersite. This fat teardrop stone is a real beaut, if ever I've seen one, featuring golden yellow and deep midnight blue chatoyance in a silky, swirling, folded pattern that dances with the light. Accents of shimmery reddish orange add even more color to the appealing palette of this stone; please be sure to click the pics to enlarge them to full size to see the fine details. It has a nicely rounded dome of 5mm, and a fine glassy polish both front and back. And considering how the cost of fine pietersite has sky-rocketed in recent years, my per carat price for a stone of this size and quality is a steal!
