Fossil coral cab ~
Offered here is a HUGE cabochon of fossilized coral, from Indonesia. This fascinating material is something I don't cut too often, though I must say I like it alot. Look closely at the enlarged pics and you'll see it is composed of the highly silicated fossil remains of colonial sea coral, many millions of years old! It has an unmistakeable one-of-a-kind pattern of flower-like starbursts, in an earthy ivory-buff color. This substantial cab has a high rounded dome of 6.5mm, a crisp rectangular shape, and a slick glassy polish both front and back.
