Pietersite cab ~
Offered here is a cabochon of African pietersite. This extra large and fancy stone features deep midnight blue and gold chatoyance in a rippling, folded pattern that shifts and changes with the light. There are also some undertones of a greenish hue where the two colors blend, along with several areas highlighted with rusty orange. Please be sure to click the pics to enlarge them to full size to see the fine details of the cab. It has a high rounded dome of 6+mm, and a fine glassy polish both front and back. And considering how the cost of fine pietersite has sky-rocketed in recent years, my per carat price for a stone of this size and quality is a genuine bargain!
