Monet marble cab ~
Offered here is a cabochon of top quality Monet' marble, from Nevada. Just like the name implies, I think this material is a natural work of art! However, calling it 'marble' really isn't fair, because I am certain it is either a jasper or rhyolite. Very hard, durable stuff! Colorful too, in its own unique way. This long diamond shaped stone features a fancy brecciated pattern in dark pastels of slate blue edged in aqua green, with dabs of golden yellow, and rusty brown spiderwebbing that really sets it all off beautifully. I can say for sure that it's been a big hit in my own jewelry; several pieces were sold before I'd even had a chance to finish them! Try a cab for yourself, and see how it goes in your showcase; I think you'll be well pleased. The stone has a nicely rounded dome of 5.5mm, a crisp symmetrical shape, and a smooth glossy polish both front and back.
