Burro Creek jasper ~
Offered here is a splendid cabochon of Burro Creek jasper, from Arizona. This example is of above average caliber, with more than a little gemmy translucence. With a faint moire pattern of criss crossing lines, it reminds me most of purple jade, and its rust and black confetti also adds much to the appeal. If you like purple stones for your creations, this one has your name on it. -grin- The cab has a low but nicely rounded dome of 5.5mm, a crisp designer shape, and a slick glassy polish both front and back.
