Offered here is an exceptional cabochon of Crown Of Silver psilomelane, from Chihuahua, Mexico. This classic old wide-band material is sometimes referred to as 'black malachite', though there's no real relation; it's becoming increasingly spendy due to a lack of production at the source. This cab features awesome bullseyes and bands in shiny 'smoked chrome' alternating with sub-metallic black. The beautiful moire pattern is the perfect companion to mokume gane metal work. The stone has a high rounded dome of 7mm, and a symmetrical designer shape you're sure to have fun with. Polished front and back.
