Gem Silica cab ~
Offered here is a vivid cabochon of 100% natural gem silica chrysocolla, from Arizona. This stone features scattered confetti in wonderful blues and blue-greens, bright and appealing, in a clear agate base. It does have a surprising degree of translucence, as shown by the backlit photo. This highly silicated material is extremely hard and durable, and will easily last long enough to become a future heirloom. The stone has a well rounded dome, and despite a few miniscule pits that are mostly on the reverse, it took a slick glassy polish both front and back.
