Brazilian agate cab ~
Offered here is a fancy cabochon of top shelf banded carnelian agate, from Brazil. It features juicy deep orange coloration, with some neat black and brown figure. Inside the stone are several bands and swirls that are actually more like cornflakes. These razor fine ribbons of darker color showed up best in the backlit photo, though in hand they are readily visible without backlighting. The stone has a low but well rounded dome of 4.5mm, a designer 'spear' shape, and a great glassy polish both front and back.
