Amazon River jasper cab ~
Offered here is a cabochon of Amazon River jasper. This particular jasper cab has a bold contrast of colors that's very reminiscent of petrified wood, right down to the woodgrained streaks. It certainly has excellent contrast in earthy shades of darkest chocolate, edged with shades of rich peachy tan, with a streak of golden yellow. I like it! And I think you will too. The stone has a versatile designer 'flame' shape that's fun and easy to work with, a nicely rounded dome of 5mm, and it is polished both front and back.
