California tigereye cab ~
Offered here is an extraordinary cabochon of tigereye, cut from old stock material which hails from California. This example has subtle but silky chatoyance that seems to come and go, in a pattern of streaks across the stone. The colors are earthy shades of tan and cream, as well as some 'almost dendrites' in black. The cab has a well rounded dome of just under 5.5mm, an triangular designer 'chevron' shape, polished to a glassy brilliance both front and back.
