Rhodochrosite cab ~
Offered here is a large and unusual cabochon of rhodochrosite, from Catamarca, Argentina. Not easy to come by like it once was, last I heard, the price of rough from this classic location is strictly controlled by the Argentinian goverment. This delicious cab features various shades of rose-pink, with a great degree of sparkling translucence. A razor fine band of slate-blue rings a lacy crystalling 'flower', drawing the eye. It's a beauty you'll surely treasure! The stone has a low rounded dome of 5mm, and a nice glossy polish both front and back.
