Mook jasper ~
Offered here is a cabochon of colorful mookaite, or mook jasper, from Australia. This fine grained material, at its best, is very hard and durable, close to porcelain in nature. This stone shows some wild patterns in rich blended hues of maroon, crimson red and yellow, with a dab or two of olive green so deep, it looks nearly black. Quite an attractive mix, just the thing that'll make your creations stand out from all the rest! The cab has a nicely rounded dome of 5mm, and a fine glassy polish both front and back.
