Montana agate cab ~
Offered here is a fascinating cabochon of Montana agate, cut from the treasure trove of rough I 'found' last year in a Montana rockshop. heh Instead of the classic dendrites, this stone has a scalloped ribbon wending from point to point, adrift in the translucent, almost opalescent, background. The agate itself has what looks like a sleet storm within it that's most unusual; only a hint of it can be seen in the backlit photo. I think it'll make an extraordinary item of jewelry, or a fine addition to your aggie collection. The cab has a well rounded dome of 5mm, and a slick glassy polish both front and back.
