Montana agate cab ~
Offered here is a designer cabochon of Montana agate, cut by my dear Rain from rough we 'found' in a Montana rockshop last year. heh This one has a nice scattering of the classic inky black dendrites in various shapes and sizes, plus a larger fortification floating within the stone. I like the way it fades into a warm brown hue at the big end. The background agate is translucent, nearly water clear in most of the stone, with an almost opalescent quality to it. It has a nicely rounded dome of 5.5mm, a gracefully fluid designer shape, and a brilliantly glassy 'wet ice' polish both front and back.
