Gem Silica cab ~
Offered here is a vibrant cabochon of 100% natural gem silica chrysocolla, from Arizona. This stone features wonderfully intense blues, bright and electric, with some scattered flecks of mossy green malachite for added appeal. It does have a surprising degree of translucence and depth, with what appears to be a layer of clear agate on top. This highly silicated material is extremely hard and durable, and will easily last long enough to become a future heirloom. The stone has a well rounded dome of 6mm, and a slick glassy polish both front and back.
