Owyhee jasper cab ~
Offered here is a truly exceptional cabochon of Owyhee jasper, from Oregon. This gorgeous member of the porcelain jasper family is a long time favorite of mine, one that I can never get enough of! This stone features an almost painted pattern in the most prized reds, against a background of yellow chiffon. The diamond shape is framed in ochre and ochre/avocado, with fine bands of red, a scattering of dark dendrites, and even some teensy plumes. Dramatic contrast, and a great presence here, folks. Honestly, this classic treasure is sure to spark your imagination if anything will. The stone has a high rounded dome of 6.5mm, with a slick glassy polish both front and back.
