Variscite cab ~
Offered here is a cabochon of gemmy variscite, from Utah. This is a terrific example of fine old stock material that's become rather scarce these days. It features cool green that reminds me of pistachio ice cream (my favorite), with deeper minty green streaks. There's even a bit of subtle spiderwebbing. I think the rich green color of the variscite is something a computer monitor cannot do proper justice to, really, but the pics give you the idea; it's one nice stone!
