Turquoise ~
Offered here is a large cabochon of spiderweb turquoise, from China. It features lovely turquoise-blue coloration, with a patch of green at one side, and black matrix forming the webs. No doubt the material has been stabilized by some hardening process, as is most modern turquoise, but I don't believe it has been subjected to artificial coloring of any kind. It polished like a dream, and will wear wonderfully, without turning green over the years. The cab has a high and well rounded dome of nearly 7mm, and a smooth glossy polish both front and back.
