Alunite cab ~
Offered here is a cabochon of top notch alunite, old time stock dug near Quartzite, Arizona. This material is a pleasure to work with when it's this pretty, and I must say it's the nicest I've seen yet. The cab features an attractive pattern of blood red dots and spiderwebs of maroon on a background of old ivory and creamy white. It's sure to look terrific set in either gold or silver jewelry, and it's unusual and not often seen, so let yourself have a little fun with it! The stone has a nicely rounded dome of 6mm, a sleek designer shape, and a gleaming polish both front and back.
