Carasite cab ~
Offered here is a unique cabochon of premium carasite jasper, from Oregon. This wonderful material is a member of the porcelain jasper family, closely related to its more famous cousin, morrisonite jasper, found nearby. Like morrisonite, it takes a dazzling shine. This stone is a fine example, featuring subtle patterning in shades of creamy orange chiffon, rusty red, maroon, pale yellow and avocado. The stone has a nicely rounded dome of 5mm, a crisp designer shape, and a great glassy polish both front and back.
