Stinking water plume doublet ~
Offered here is a doublet cabochon of Stinking Water plume agate, from Stinking Water Pass, Oregon. This old stock material is anything but run-of-the-mill, and getting harder to come by all the time, particularly in this above average calibre. It features a lovely pattern of ornate plumes in snowy and ivory white in a background of translucent agate that allows the jet black basenite backing to peek through. It has a high and well rounded dome of 6.5mm, a crisp designer shape, and it is polished to a glassy brilliance both front and back.
