Wave Hill agate cab ~
Offered here is a sweet lil' cab of Wave Hill agate, from Australia's Northern Territory. It's not often that a 'new' material becomes an instant favorite of mine, but this exceptional agate won my heart straight away. Please take a good look at the details in this stone and you'll see why I'm so excited about this world class agate. It's a real ZINGER, with a full pattern of rich raspberry fortification bands; then comes a pretty pink; and at last are bands of deep burgundy, changing to a more brownish hue. Along the outside edges are some fascinating orby figures, scallops and bullseyes, adding even more appealing character. What a delightful contrast, eh? The uniqueness of each Wave Hill agate makes it a lapidary's fantasy, a collector's MUST HAVE, and I have no doubt it'll be a jewelry designer's best friend. This stone has a nicely rounded dome of 5mm, a versatile 'almond' shape, and a great glassy polish both front and back.
Size: 35x17 mm
Weight: approximately 24 carats
