Spiderweb obsidian cab ~
Offered here is a cabochon of spiderweb obsidian, recently brought in from Mexico. It features some interesting bluish spiderwebbing contrasting against a soft black background. The webbing in this particular stone is a bit more subtle than others I've cut, and it blends into the darker background in an odd ghostly kinda way. Neat! It's just bound to make an amazing item of jewelry, and I encourage you to give it a try. The cab has a well rounded dome of 5mm, a sleek designer shape, and it is polished to a brilliantly glassy shine both front and back.
