Pietersite cab ~
Offered here is a cabochon of premium Chinese pietersite cut by my young son, Christopher. His lovely stone has red and gold chatoyance in what I think of as a 'feather' pattern, ie. thin steaks or ribbons of color. There are some areas of pale lavender agate with light quartz that are translucent, shown in the last photo. Please be sure to click the pics to enlarge them to full size to see the fine details of the cab. It has a high rounded dome of 6+mm, and a fine glassy polish both front and back.
