Offered here is a fancy cabochon of Owyhee jasper, from Oregon. This famous member of the porcelain jasper family is rapidly becoming rather scarce these days, especially the variety with reds. This example features a wild jagged pattern in rich, earthy ochre edged with red, against a background of creamy pastel yellow. One of my all time favorite jaspers, this classic treasure will do you proud, no matter what your plans for it. The stone has a low dome, a crisp designer shape , with a slick glassy polish both front and back.
