Montana agate cab ~
Offered here is a cabochon of Montana agate, cut from Yellowstone River agate found long ago. This particular piece was part of an old stash I lucked into this past summer, and it really is a unique rarity. It's nearly water clear, with the classic jet black dendrites, and some nice fortification bands. A patch of bright carnelian orange really sets this one off. It's especially attractive held to the light, as illustrated by the backlit photo, and will look terrific in an open backed setting. It has a low rounded dome of 4mm, and a super glassy polish both front and back.
