Malachite cab ~
Offered here is a cabochon of malachite, from Zaire. It features the classic beauty of countless fine bandings in rich, vividly contrasting shades of light and dark green. Some areas show a hint of chatoyance, very much like that seen in a satin ribbon. This one will look absolutely magnificent set in either silver or gold, no doubt. The cab has a rounded dome of 6mm, a bold designer shape, with a super glossy polish both front and back. Priced at well under a buck a carat... I must be nuts!
