Offered here is a deluxe cabochon of old stock pietersite, from Africa. This stone is swarming with silky blues, bright golds, and fiery crimsons, in an intriguing pattern that shifts and changes as the stone is turned; just as one area dims, another blazes up, though that quality is mighty tough to illustrate in one dimensional photos. The cab has a low but nicely rounded dome of 4mm, a designer 'leaf' shape, and a fine glassy polish both front and back.
